Former Chelsea manager, Frank Lampard may return to the Premier League as a coach next season.

The reports revealed that Lampard is favourite to take up a managing job at Crystal Palace.

This comes the Seagulls are set to replace their coach Roy Hodgson at the end of this campaign.

Hodgson has been at Crystal Palace for the past 6 years and his deal ends this summer and he looks ready to leave the South London club.

The 73-year-old took charge of his 361st game in the English top-flight, as Palace lost 3-1 at Southampton on Tuesday evening.

The report has revealed that Lampard has higher chances of being picked for the job.

Recall that Lampard was sacked at Chelsea in January after the Blues dropped out in the top four on the English Premier League table.

The former England international was then replaced with Thomas Tuchel.

While many believed a club like Chelsea was too big for Lampard to manage, however, in the case of Crystal Palace, there are the belief that he has what it takes to perform having had a good outing with Derby County in the Championship.

We will have to wait to see if Crystal Palace will finally make the move to bring him on board.
