Arsenal are seriously considering a move for Crystal Palace midfielder Eberechi Eze as part of their plans to strengthen the left-wing position this summer, according to reports.

Eze, who turns 27 this weekend, impressed during the latter part of the 2024/25 season. The England international scored nine goals and registered three assists in just 13 appearances after the March international break, playing a pivotal role in Palace’s FA Cup triumph. His performances helped the Eagles secure a Europa League spot—although their participation still hinges on administrative matters.

With Arsenal looking to boost their attacking options, Eze has emerged as a credible target. The Gunners have reportedly held initial talks with the player, and The Mirror claims he is considered a more attainable option than Real Madrid’s Rodrygo, who is also on Arsenal’s radar but may prove too costly or complicated to land.

Eze’s £68 million release clause makes him a significant investment, but his proven Premier League experience and versatility appeal to Mikel Arteta’s tactical plans. Arsenal are also juggling their interest in striker Benjamin Sesko, with the club still undecided on whether to prioritise a centre-forward or a wide attacker first.

While Rodrygo remains an exciting alternative, the Gunners appear to be leaning toward Eze as a more realistic and immediate option. As Arsenal continue to weigh their summer targets, Eze’s name remains firmly on the table.
