FIFA Club World Cup: Chelsea drop Felix, Sterling from squad

As Chelsea prepares to participate in the FIFA Club World Cup, the Blues have provided an update about their squad.
According to the recent reports, Chelsea have left out João Félix and Raheem Sterling from their squad.
The duo will not be part of the Enzo Maresca’s squad that would travel to the United States of America for the tournament.
This comes amid the Blues transfer plans as they expected to find solutions in the market for the Portuguese and English players.
Meanwhile, Felix’s number 14 jersey will now be handed to signing Dário Essugo.
In a similar development, Chelsea will face Leon in the group stage of the FIFA Club World Cup.
The Blues qualified for the tournament after they won the UEFA Conference Cup ahead of Real Betis in a 4-1 scoreline last season.
Chelsea manager Maresca will be looking forward to include the FIFA Club World Cup in the Blues cupboard ahead of the a new campaign.
The tournament scheduled to start on June 15 and end on July 13 will see 32 football clubs across all six FIFA confederations compete in the USA for the FIFA Club World Cup 2025.
The other English club participating in the tournaments are Manchester City led by manager Pep Guardiola.
