Chelsea have qualified for the semi-finals in the FA Cup after they defeated Middlesbrough on Saturday thanks to goals from Romelu Lukaku and Hakim Ziyech.

Championship side Middlesbrough had come a hard way through the competition, having eliminated Manchester United on penalties in the fourth round and scored an extra-time winner to beat Tottenham Hotspur in the fifth round.

But they lost out of the tournament after the Blues kicked them out.

Lukaku scored in the 15th minute to give Chelsea an early lead before Hakim Ziyech doubled the effort with a superb finish from the edge of the 18-yard box.

With this, Chelsea have moved to the next stage and are now considered the favourites to win the trophy.

The Blues, like every other team in Europe, will now go international break.

They will be going on the break at the back of 13 undefeated games since January.

And they have been most impressive this month, especially amid the noise at the club.
