Anthony Gordon has ‘agreed personal terms’ with Chelsea ahead of possible move, as per writer Simon Phillips.

The Blues boss Thomas Tuchel has been given greater obligation in the transfer market by new owner Todd Boehly and has distinguished the talented 21-year-old as a ‘top target’.

The Athletic have detailed that Gordon has informed Everton manager Frank Lampard that he wishes to leave his boyhood club and sign for Chelsea ahead of September’s deadline.

It’s guaranteed that the winger wants to play Champions League football and feels he has a superior possibility breaking into England’s World Cup squad assuming he is playing for one of the biggest clubs in the world.

Everton are also supposed to ‘be aware’ that Chelsea willing to pay £60 million to secure Gordon’s signature, with £10m of that figure potential add-ons.

In an interview with GiveMeSport, he said: “Anthony Gordon himself has agreed personal terms with Chelsea, and he wants to move clearly; that is very widely known at this point.

“He will do nothing to push it. I don’t believe he will go Wesley Fofana levels on it.”

Where might Gordon fit in at Chelsea?

Gordon has prevalently played out wide all through his short career and is agreeable on one or the other flank but has looked less guaranteed through the center for Everton.

Chelsea don’t play with normal wingers, and subsequently, it is conceivable that Tuchel has plans to involve the talented 21-year-old as a wing back.
