Chelsea on Sunday evening went head to head in a game against their former coach Antonio Conte’s led Tottenham Hotspur side.

Following their 2-2 draw against the Hotspurs in their second match and first home game in the Premier League this season, Chelsea boss, Thomas Tuchel, in a post-match statement has tendered an apology to his players.

According to Tuchel, the Blues players gave a top performance against Conte’s side but could not get the result the three points they needed.

Tuchel saw as the Hotspurs drew against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge following goals from Kalidou Koulibaly, Reece James, Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg and Harry Kane.

Speaking after the game, Tuchel told Sky Sports: “We dominated for 90 minutes.

“We were sharp, we were hungry, it was a top performance. I’m sorry for all my players that we didn’t get the result we deserved.”

The Blues’ draw against Tottenham comes after their victory against Everton in their first match.
