Chelsea manager Graham Potter led his side against his former club Brighton on Saturday in Premier League.

Potter, who has managed to keep a clean sheet since arriving at Stamford Bridge as a replacement for Thomas Tuchel sacked in September, was thrashed by his former club.

Reacting to the Blues’ devastating defeat, former Barcelona striker, Gary Lineker, has pinpointed the major mistakes made by Potter after the Blues fell 3-0 behind against Brighton before half-time in the Premier League on Saturday.

Leandro Trossard scored the opening goal for Brighton in the fifth minute at the Falmer Stadium.

Own goals from Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Trevoh Chalobah sunk Chelsea further.

The match ended 4-1 in favour of Brighton, who won all three points.

However, Lineker pointed out some tactical errors Potter made against the Seagulls.

Lineker wrote on Twitter, “Potter’s system of a back 3 and wingers at wingback, which he changed very quickly from in Chelsea’s previous league games, has failed miserably in the first half at Brighton.”
