EPL: Pochettino lauds Tottenham star

Chelsea manager, Mauricio Pochettino in a recent statement hailed Tottenham Hotspur captain Son Heung-min ahead of their Premier League clash on Monday.

Pochettino, who coached the South Korean player during his time at Tottenham, tagged him as a fantastic footballer and one of the best players in the Premier League.

During a pre-match press conference ahead of the Blues’ Premier League derby with the Hotspurs on Monday night, Pochettino also hoped his centre-backs could stop him.

“My centre-back needs to stop him. We know him and he is a fantastic player,” Pochettino said (via BBC).

“One of the best players in the Premier League. Hope it is not going to be a good night for him.”

So far this season, Son has scored eight goals and created one assist in the Premier League for Spurs.

Tottenham are currently seated at the top spot on the Premier League table.
