EPL: Man City vs Chelsea: Possible prediction

Chelsea will return to action in the English Premier League this weekend when they go head to head vs Man City at Etihad Stadium.

The Blues will be heading to the game after their recent win vs Tottenham Hotspur in the EFL during the week.

Chelsea will hope to win all three points or at least hold Man City to a draw this weekend.

Ahead of the match, Mark Lawrenson has dropped his predictions as he tips Man City to emerge the winner.

According to Lawrenson, Chelsea have been patchy, and a draw against Man City can’t help them become a title contender.

The Citizens are currently 10 points ahead of Chelsea, who are at the second spot on the Premier League table.

Providing his predictions, Lawrenson told BBC Sport: “Chelsea’s Premier League form has been patchy and even a draw here would not be enough to help their title chances. I don’t think they will get that, though.

“City played really well when they won at Stamford Bridge in September, but they have really hit their stride in the past few weeks. I’m going for another win for them, which would be their 12th in a row in the league. Man City 2-1 Chelsea.”
