Drogba helping Chelsea to sign this midfielder ahead of Arsenal, AC Milan and others
According to the latest reports, Chelsea may soon be welcoming a new midfielder this summer as the recent report has revealed that the Blues legend, Didier Drogba, is helping the club to land Feyenoord midfielder, Orkun Kokcu.
Kokcu has become a major target for numerous European clubs this summer following an impressive outing in the Eredivisie.
Apart from Chelsea, the likes of Arsenal, AC Milan, AS Roma, Tottenham among other big European clubs are interested in signing Kokcu this summer.
It however looks like the Blues have an edge over others thanks to the intervention from Drogba.
The reports revealed that Chelsea are now in pole position to sign the 20-year-old midfielder.
According to Turkish TV channel Vole, it claimed that former Ivory Coast striker, who scored 164 goals in 381 matches for Chelsea recently arranged a meeting between the Blues and Kokcu’s family.
Last season, Kokcu made 22 league appearances for Feyenoord, scoring three goals and three assists for the Holland club.
Speaking about his future at Feyenoord, Kokcu had said in a statement last season: “I have a contract until 2025, but the situation has changed.”
We will have to wait till the transfer window commences to know if the Blues will submit a deal for him.
