Manchester United have handed Cristiano Ronaldo’s iconic no. 7 shirt to their latest signing Mason Mount.

This comes after the former Chelsea academy star completed his £60 million transfer to Old Trafford on Wednesday.

The report revealed Mount signed a five-year contract worth £250,000 a week, which means he would remain at Old Trafford until 2028.

He also has the option to extend the contract by a year.

Following Mount’s unveiling, Manchester United, who are happy to have him in their club also confirmed he will wear the iconic No. 7 shirt previously donned by David Beckham, Bryan Robson, Eric Cantona, and George Best.

A report via Mail Sport revealed the Red Devils manager Erik Ten Hag offered Mount the No. 7 shirt during their negotiations, in a bid to prove to the midfielder how highly they rated him.

The English midfielder wore the No. 19 shirt, currently taken by Raphael Varane, during his time at Chelsea.
