Chelsea handed coach Frank Lampard a sack letter following a dip in the performance of the Blues as they dropped out in the top four.

While Chelsea has now replaced Lampard with former PSG coach, Thomas Tucel, the reports have revealed the former England international is still on the Blues payroll.

According to the reports, the former Blues boss will stay on Blues payroll until July.

Lampard continues to draw his £75,000-a-week salary from Chelsea despite being relieved of his duties, the Sun revealed.

The report revealed that the only way Lampard can stop received the payment is unless he chooses to take another job before that date.

At the moment, the future of Lampard remains unknown as he is yet to be linked with any club, however, there are speculations that he could return to the Championship league, where he previously coached  Derby County.

We believe that Lampard will hope to remain without a club till the summer transfer window especially if he wants to be with a big club.

On the other hand, Chelsea are beginning to pick up their form under their new manager Tuchel as they hope to return to the top four in the league table.
