Deal Almost Done: Italian giant eager to complete the signature of Chelsea forward this week

Chelsea fans might be waving goodbye to an experienced player in Oliver Giroud at the end of this week, with AC Milan eager to sort out his deal as soon as possible.

Oliver Giroud has been linked with a move away from Chelsea ever since the club confirmed the signature of Timo Werner last season.

However, the world cup winner was able to turn things around by putting in an impressive performance whenever he’s called upon.

Giroud played an essential role in Chelsea’s run to the Champions League title, scoring a decisive goal against Atletico Madrid.

Despite this, his time at Chelsea is coming to an end as Corriere Dello Sport report that the Italian side AC Milan want a deal for the Frenchman wrapped up by the end of this week.

According to the report, the Serie A outfit wants the striker to join up in time for their pre-season preparations.

Chelsea recently triggered a contract extension in Giroud’s contract to prevent him from leaving for free, but they are now under pressure to make a decision.

Should he make a move to Milan, Giroud will sign a two-year contract at the San Siro worth £3.4million.
