De Gea expressses happiness as midfielder leaves Man Utd

Manchester United goalkeeper, David De Gea, expressed excitement as teammate and compatriot, Juan Mata departs Old Trafford.
Mata announced his departure from Manchester United after eight-and-a-half years at the club and De Gea is sending him a moving and heartfelt message.
The midfielder’s deal with the Red Devils came to an end and the 34-year-old has decided to move on.
There are claims he could be heading back to Spain, although his next move remains unknown.
“Thought this would be a very difficult one to express into words but when I thought about it more, the main feeling I am left with is happiness,” De Gea posted on social media.
“This guy has been a teammate, a friend and is my family.
“I love you my brother, I wish you everything and absolutely nothing but joy and success in your next stage of an unbelievable career,” he said.
Man Utd had a tough season and would hope to gain back the top form they were known for next season under new manager Erik Ten Hag.
