Conference League: Maresca speaks on Casadei, Dewsbury-Hall, Jorgensen

Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca in a recent statement spoke about midfielder Casadei Cesare’s performance at the club.

According to to Maresca, Cesare who was in action for the Blues against Barrow in the Carabao Cup did very well in that game.

The manager, however, stressed that the Italian midfielder struggled in the beginning but finished well.

He also spoke about the chances of Cesare making an appearance in the Blues coming match against Belgian side Gent in the Europa Conference League this evenening.

“We can see Cesare there again, no doubt,” the Blues manager said.

Speaking about the midfielder’s role, Maresca said Cesare can pass on the ball and understand how he has to move can give us good things.

He disclosed that Cesare is more of a box-to-box player as he likes to attack.

“I worked with him at Leicester. He can do the other part but needs to provide balance for the team,” he said.

Maresca also spoke about Kieran Dewsbury-Hall ahead of their game against Gent.

According to the manager, Dewsbury-Hall, and all the players that were out of the squad, was not due to a physical problem but a decision.

On Flip Jorgensen, Maresca said he needed him to do well not because he needs to put pressure on Robert Sanchez.
