Bundesliga side Borussia Dortmund have reportedly rejected Chelsea’s first approach for talented striker Erling Braut Haaland.

Chelsea have been linked with Haaland ever since he moved to Borussia Dortmund in 2019, and the blues are eager to add him to their ranks this summer.

Reports have claimed Chelsea owner Roman Abrahimovic is willing to fund the transfer that will bring the Norway international to Stamford Bridge.

However, Chelsea might not be having the opportunity of signing Haaland to their squad this summer as Dortmund are not ready to let go of their star player.

According to Sky Sports News, Chelsea have submitted their first bid for Haaland, but Dortmund were quick to rebuff the Blues’ approaches.

The report claims that Chelsea were preparing to include Tammy Abraham or Callum Hudson-Odoi in part-exchange.

However, Dortmund are reportedly holding out for a sum of €175m (£149m), an amount of money Chelsea have no intention of paying.

With a deal for Haaland looking like one that will not be completed, Chelsea might turn their attention to Barcelona forward Antoine Griezmann, who they might sign on loan.

Griezmann performed brilliantly for France during the European Championships, and Chelsea are hoping he can continue such form at Stamford Bridge.
