Chelsea veteran defender outlines his plans for 2022 World Cup

Chelsea defender Thiago Silva is not ruling out an appearance at the 2022 world cup in Qatar as he tends to continue performing at his very best.

Silva has become one of the most consistent Chelsea players ever since he joined them on a free transfer from Paris Saint-Germain as he has ensured that the likes of Antonio Rudiger.

The Brazilian’s impact at Stamford Bridge is obvious as he has formed a great partnership with Kurt Zouma who is also enjoying a great time under Frank Lampard.

Their partnership have ensured that Chelsea have just 8 goals in the 10 league games Silva has featured in.

Speaking with the club website, Silva who is currently 36 years of age answered with a resounding “yes” when asked if he is hopeful of featuring for Brazil in the FIFA World Cup final 2022,

Silva has been giving a glimpse of hope when it comes to his place at the Brazilian national team as he has started in all of their four World Cup qualification victories, captaining them in 3 of those matches.

The Brazilian despite his age has proved his worth at Stamford Bridge and remains one of their most resourceful players this season.
