With Chelsea in the race for a new forward this summer, former Liverpool star, John Barnes has advised the Blues on one player to go for.

Barnes in a statement urged Chelsea to make a move for Man City forward, Raheem this summer.

According to Barnes, Sterling’s decision to join the Blues would be a great move.

Sterling has been linked with a move to Stamford Bridge this summer as he is considered a replacement for Romelu Lukaku, who is close to returning to Inter Milan on loan this season.

“It all depends on Raheem. If he feels, with the new signings, he’s not going to be a regular player, of course, he is a fantastic world-class player, so he deserves to be (playing on a regular basis),” Barnes said (via HITC).

“Maybe, if he feels at Chelsea, he would play more regularly, then it would be a great move for him, and it would be a great move for Chelsea as well if you think about the price they have to pay, the age of Raheem and the quality. It will be a fantastic signing for them, but Raheem will make that decision.”
