Chelsea target signs for Ronaldo’s Saudi club

Chelsea have suffered a transfer blow this summer as one of the players they were linked to has completed a transfer to another club.

The Blues had eyes on Brazilian goalkeeper, Bento, who has now penned a deal to join Cristiano Ronaldo’s Al-Nassr this summer.

Before he sealed his new deal with the Saudi Arabia club, Bento had been linked with Chelsea as well as Italian Serie A side Inter Milan.

Popular football transfer expert Fabrizio Romano in an update also confirmed that the 25-year-old has joined Al-Nassr on a four-year deal from Atletico Paranaense.

Romani in a recent statement via his X handle said the deal has been officially confirmed as Bento will an Al Nassr player for four years.

The Brazilian goalie’s deal is said to be a total of €18 million. Bento was also spotted with director Fernando Hierro as he sealed his deal.

It, however, unclear why Bento turned down interest to play in Europe where he could have shine at Chelsea on AC Milan to play in the Saudi league alongside former Man Utd star and Portugal international Cristiano Ronaldo.

Meanwhile, Chelsea have continued to be linked with several players this summer as they prepare for the new season under their new manager Enzo Maresca.
