Chelsea continue to eye new players they can sign to this summer transfer window.

A recent report from popular transfer expert Fabrizio Romano disclosed that the Blues have joined the race to sign Gremio attacking midfielder Gabriel Mec.

Radio Imortal had previously hinted that the West London side have an interest in the 16-year-old.

Confirming the report via X Romano confirmed that the Blues “are pushing” to sign the youngster.

While Mec is yet to feature in Gremio’s first team, he is, however, rated as one of the most promising players their academy and a talent to look out for in future.

He performs well as a no.10 but, due to his ability to play with both legs, he has also been deployed on both wings at youth level.

He became a central of attention with his performances for Gremio in the Campeonato Brasileiro Under 20, after coming on as a substitute against Fluminense and Corinthians.

However, Chelsea are not the only top club interested in Mec. Reports disclosed that the Blues rivals Arsenal as well as French Ligue 1 giants also have interest in him.

Should Chelsea sealed a deal with Gremio for Mec, he still has to wait for another two years before he can move to England.
