Germany International Timo Werner has vowed to regain the form that saw Chelsea pay RB Leipzig £53m for his service during the summer transfer window.

Werner has been under the spotlight for the past few weeks as he has gone eight games without scoring coupled with some unbelievable misses he’s been having during this games.

His performance has raised eyebrows amongst fans and media as Frank Lampard has been urged to drop him if he continues this run of form.

According to some pundits, the Germany International is unable to handle the pressure that comes with the huge fee paid for his services, a statement he has now denied.

Speaking to Chelsea’s official website, Werner stated that It does matter how much a player cost as it’s always a bit of pressure to arrive at a new club as big as Chelsea.

He noted that the pressure in every new club is to score and as far as he’s concern, he can handle it very well because he got the same pressure at his old club (RB Leipzig) where everybody wanted him to score.

With the Premier League known for its physicality, Werner added that the league is
tougher than he thought.

According to the star forward, the contract in England is harder than in Germany.

Chelsea will be battling it out with West Ham on Monday and Werner will be looking to end his goal drought.
