Chelsea still considering signing this Napoli star

During the recent summer transfer window, Chelsea were one of the top clubs linked with moves to sign Victor Osimhen from Napoli.

The moves, however, didn’t happen as Chelsea went on to sign some other players instead.

But their woes from last season have continued this campaign having splashed £1 billion on new players.

This has made Chelsea consider the chances of making another move for Osimhen come the January transfer window, according to Journalist Simon Philips.

In a statement via his podcast via his Substack, Phillips claims that Chelsea do have their eyes on Victor Osimhen’s contract situation at Napoli.

Philips reported that Osimhen is still on Chelsea’s radar after previous links to him.

However, the Nigerian star could end up signing a new deal to stay in Naples, though.

He said: “[Victor] Osimhen dream is still alive even though I don’t see it happening, but Chelsea are watching his contract situation. He’s not signed it yet, but he looks like he’s on the verge of signing it.”
