The recent reports have claimed that Chelsea have reached an agreement to sign Atlanta United star, Caleb Wiley, this summer transfer window.

Once done, Wiley will become the Blues sixth signing for their new manager Enzo Maresca.

So far, the west London club have already made five signings and they are Tosin Adarabioyo, Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, Marc Guiu, Estevao Willian and Omari Kellyman.

However, a report via The Athletic disclosed that the Blues are now closing in on signing Wiley.

The 19-year-old United States star is expected to join for a fee of £8.5million.

There is, however, a clause in his deal as report added that the left-back is likely to head straight out on loan to French side, Strasbourg next season.

Meanwhile, Chelsea are still in the race for a new striker this summer transfer window and have been linked several names they could sign to create competition for Nicolas Jackson.

The Blues who finished at the sixth spot on the league table under former manager Mauricio Pochettino are working on rebuilding a new squad as they hope to compete for trophies under their new Italian boss Maresca next season.
