The recent report has disclosed that the FA came heavy on Chelsea after their weekend match.

The football body was said to have slammed the Blues with a fine of £75,000 for picking up six yellow cards in the 2-1 win over Newcastle United on Sunday.

This was made public by sports journalist Kieran Gill.

Going by the records, this makes it the third time this season that Chelsea have received six yellow cards in a single game.

Recall that the Blues had the lead against Newcastle United in the 18th minute thanks to a goal from Nicolas Jackson.

The Magpies scored a equaliser in the 32nd minute thanks to Alexander Isak’s 32nd-minute strike.

Cole Palmer, however, secure three points for the Blues when he scored the winning goal in the second half.

Despite the win,, Chelsea’s disciplinary issues have now cost them for the third time this season.

Chelsea’s Robert Sanchez, Christopher Nkunku, Weskey Fofana, Romeo Lavia, Pedro Neto and Noni Madueke all received yellow cards during the game.

The West Londoner had similar disciplinary issues in their 1-0 win over Bournemouth, where they received eight cautions and were handed a £25,000 fine.

They also registered six yellow cards in the 1-1 draw against Nottingham Forest earlier in October and were fined £50,000 by the FA.

This means Chelsea have now been fined £150,000 in total for disciplinary issues this term.

The Blue are now the first team in the Premier League to receive six yellow cards or more in three games in one campaign.
