Chelsea, PSG in race for Barcelona star

The latest report revealed that Chelsea are still keen on signing Barcelona winger Ousmane Dembele.

According to Marca, the Blues are monitoring a potential transfer for Dembele ahead of the January transfer window, which is set to commence in less than three weeks.

The Frenchman is said to have a release clause in his contract with the Catalans, which could be triggered by the Blues.

Recall that Chelsea were linked with moves for Dembele last January, but missed out on a deal as his contract dwindled with the Spanish giants.

They had an opportunity to sign him in the summer as the 25-year-old was officially a free agent, but he eventually signed a new two-year contract with Barcelona, which saw him remain at Camp Nou.

The Blues and French club Paris Saint-Germain have now reignited their interest in Dembele as a potential transfer option for the future.

If the two clubs want to make a move in January, they will have to negotiate with Barcelona, however, a move in the summer, will see a release clause of €50million (£43.6million) added to the deal.
