It appears Chelsea may have suffered a transfer blow in their pursuit to sign Lazio midfielder Sergej Milinkovic-Savic.

This comes as the report revealed the midfielder is now believed to be open to making a move to Arsenal either in January or next summer.

The Gunners alongside Chelsea and Man United have been interested in the 27-year-old.

It was reported that the north London side even tried to sign the Serbian international during the summer, but the player was not keen on a move.

However, Italian journalist Giulio Cardone while speaking to radio station Radiosei (h/t Football. London) has claimed that the midfielder has now changed his stance on making a move to the Premier League toppers.

“Arsenal on Milinkovic? The news is that the player has changed his opinion on the English club which already tried to approach him last summer.”

“If a fair proposal were to arrive this time, he would consider it. Today, the Gunners are dominating the Premier League, they will go to the Champions League, they have started a fascinating project, they have acquired a different appeal.”
