Chelsea player who created problem for Liverpool
Sky Sports pundit Jamie Carragher had nothing but applause for England international Reece James who impressed midway through the first half as Chelsea played against Liverpool at Stamford Bridge on Sunday.
The game started with the Blues seeing Liverpool scoring their first goal through Luis Diaz before going 2-0 down, only for Mohamed Salah’s strike to be ruled offside.
Chelsea, however, earned their equaliser thanks to Axel Disasi who scored his debut Premier League goal before going 2-1 up, only for Ben Chilwell’s strike to also be adjudged offside.
Carragher said James made the match difficult for the Reds.
Speaking live on commentary duty alongside Peter Drury and Gary Neville, Carragher said: “Reece James’ position is a huge problem for Liverpool. He keeps getting caught in between players.
“Andy Robertson is not sure whether to close him, Virgil van Dijk is not coming across with Raheem Sterling. That is where those really good combinations are coming from for Chelsea.”
