Chelsea have undergone a transformation in terms of their football tactics this season following the arrival of manager Enzo Maresca who was signed as a replacement for Mauricio Pochettino.

Following Maresca’s arrival, former West Ham United goalkeeper Shaka Hislop has named Senegalese star Nicolas Jackson as the most improved player in the Premier League.

Hislop made the bold claim following the player’s performance this season.

So far this term, Jackson has been the point man for the Blues, building on an unimpressive debut campaign.

Recall that the Senegalese moved to Stamford Bridge from Villarreal in the summer of 2023, scoring 14 goals in the Premier League in his debut season.

Hislop in a statement via ESPN praised Jackson for the improvement he has shown in his all-round game this season.

According to the former goalie, if there was a list of the most improved players in the Premier League, Jackson would probably be top of it.

Hislop pointed at the striker’s struggles last season, as he wondered if he’d be able to make the grade in a league like this.

However, Jackson has witnessed a turnaround under Maresca for Chelsea.

The Senegalese has scored six goals and created three assists in his first 11 league appearances for Chelsea this season.
