Chelsea midfielder Andrey Santos may consider a summer departure as interest from Arsenal and Paris Saint-Germain intensifies.

The highly-rated Brazilian joined the Blues from Vasco da Gama in 2023 and is regarded as one of the club’s brightest young prospects.

Following a challenging loan spell at Nottingham Forest, Santos rediscovered his form during a productive season with Strasbourg in Ligue 1. His performances in France have reignited attention from top European clubs, and the 20-year-old is now assessing his options.

Santos recently returned to Chelsea to participate in the Club World Cup, making his debut off the bench in a 2-0 win over ES Tunis. However, new head coach Enzo Maresca has indicated the midfielder still needs time to adapt to the team’s tactical approach, stating that he must “understand how we play” before becoming a regular fixture.

Chelsea’s summer transfer activity has been relentless. The club has already secured signings including Liam Delap, Dario Essugo, and Mamadou Sarr, with Brazilian wonderkid Estevão Willian expected to join pre-season. Meanwhile, a number of outgoings are anticipated. Several senior players — including Raheem Sterling, Ben Chilwell, Joao Felix, Axel Disasi, Renato Veiga, Armando Broja, Djordje Petrovic, and Lesley Ugochukwu — have reportedly been made available for transfer.

Santos’ future remains uncertain, but with strong interest from Arsenal and PSG and limited first-team opportunities at Chelsea, the midfielder could be tempted by a move where regular playing time and a clear development pathway are on offer. While the club values his long-term potential, the coming weeks may prove decisive in determining whether he continues his journey at Stamford Bridge or seeks a fresh start elsewhere.
