Chelsea manager names world best full-back

Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino has named James Reece as his world’s best full-back.

Recall that James returned to action for Chelsea in their Carabao Cup 2-0 win over Blackburn Rovers on Wednesday.

This was after the England international recently returned from injury.

The defender was brilliant for the Blues as two goals from Benoit Badiashile and Raheem Sterling ensured they defeated Blackburn Rovers at Stamford Bridge to move to the next stage of the tournaments.

Speaking about James, Pochettino said as quoted by Fabrizio Romano: “Reece James is one of the best fullbacks in the world, it’s key to have him back.

“We need our captain to stay fit and help the team. We go step by step but he’s a key player for us”.

James will hope to continue to impress for the Blues when they take on Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League on Monday.
