The recent reports have linked Chelsea with moves for La Liga’s breakout goalkeeper Alvaro Valles.

This is coming ahead of the unvieling of Leicester City’s manager Enzo Maresca as the new boss at Stamford Bridge.

Valles, who is signed to Las Palmas would ‘suit Maresca’s style’ according to scout Petar Petrov.

The Mirror revealed that Maresca’s style of football requires a specific type of goalkeeper as Danish shot-stopper Mads Hermansen played a major role under him at Leicester City.

The Italian manager is expected to succeed to replace the recently sacked Mauricio Pochettino at Stamford Bridge.

The Argentine who took over the reigns at Chelsea 12 months ago faced a inconsistent campaign which led to him leaving Stamford Bridge by mutual consent.

Once Maresca resumes at Chelsea, he will be charged with the role of building the Blues squad back to form especially in the Premier League.

Maresca already has an impressive record that precedes him after leading the Foxes to a Championship title and promotion back into the Premier League following their relegation at the end of the 2022/23 season.

Under the Italian, Leicester City finished just one point clear of Ipswich Town with 31 wins from their 46 league matches.
