Chelsea is said to be one of the front-runners, along with Liverpool, in the pursuit of Leeds United’s rising star Crysencio Summerville.

Amidst the search for a new manager following Mauricio Pochettino’s exit, Chelsea is already eyeing potential signings for the upcoming transfer window.

Summerville, who has caught the attention with his stellar performances at Leeds, is among the players linked with a move to Stamford Bridge.

According to reports from The Sun, Chelsea is leading the pack in the race to secure Summerville’s signature, although Liverpool is also vying for his services.

Despite Summerville’s impressive tally of 21 goals across all competitions and earning the Championship player of the season title, Leeds’ failure to secure Premier League promotion has opened the door for potential departures.

The battle for Summerville’s signature is not limited to Chelsea and Liverpool, as West Ham, Fulham, and Bournemouth are also reportedly interested in the talented forward.

While Leeds may demand a hefty fee, speculated to be between £35 million and £40 million, Chelsea’s pursuit faces a challenge as Liverpool’s scouts have been closely monitoring Summerville for several months, potentially giving them an advantage in negotiations.
