Chelsea goalie joins Bournemouth permanently

Chelsea have bid goodbye to their goalkeeper Djordje Petrovic as he signed a contract with AFC Bournemouth on a permanent transfer.
The Blues announced Petrovic’s departure on Wednesday in a post via their official website.
Recall that Petrovic moved to Stamford Bridge from New England Revolution in the summer of 2023.
During his time with the Blues, the Serbia international made 31 appearances in his first season at the West London club.
He spend the 2024/25 campaign on loan at Chelsea’s sister club RC Strasbourg, where he made 31 appearances for the French club.
“We want to thank Djordje for his efforts in blue and wish him well for the future,” Chelsea said in a statement.
Petrovic’s exit from Chelsea comes amid the Blues’ ongoing plan to rebuild their squad under manager Enzo Maresca after winning the Conference Cup and recently the FIFA club world cup ahead of French giants, PSG.
So far, the Blues who are active in the transfer market this summer, have signed Liam Delap, Joao Pedro and Jamie Gittens.
They have also been linked with moves for several other players which they could welcome before the close of the transfer window.
