Chelsea forward close to signing for Lazio

Popular transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has said Chelsea and Lazio are close to reaching an agreement that would see the Blues forward Callum Hudson-Odoi leave Stamford Bridge.

Romano in a statement said Hudson-Odoi is open to moving to Lazio from Chelsea this summer and could finally move there before the transfer window closes.

The transfer expert made this known in a tweet via his Twitter handle on Sunday.

Romano tweeted: “Lazio are now in advanced talks to sign Callum Hudson-Odoi from Chelsea as negotiations are progressing well—considered a good option by the player. More to follow.”

Hudson-Odoi’s contract with the Blues will expire next season and there are no indications they would hand him an extension, which is likely why they want to sell him off this summer as against letting him leave for free next summer.

The Blues forward spent last season on loan at German club Bayer Leverkusen.
