Chelsea first team players on international duties

The international break is on, and some Chelsea players, like many of their colleagues in Europe, have travelled to their home country to participate in one March or the other.

Some Chelsea players who are not international duties for their home countries are expected at the club by next week.

Listed below is a list of Chelsea first-team players on international duty:

Jorginho

The midfielder alongside Emerson Palmieri will join the Italian team in a home World Cup play-off semi-final against North Macedonia in Palermo on Thursday.

If they win, they will face one of Portugal or Turkey on Tuesday, away from home, for a spot at the World Cup.

The Blues goalie will be in action for Senegal when they play Egypt, who they defeated on penalties in the Africa Cup of Nations final. The first leg is in Cairo on Friday, before they return home to the new 50,000-capacity national stadium in Diamniadio on Tuesday.

Christian Pulisic

The Blues star man will hope to help the US meet their minimum five points from three games to guarantee a top-three finish and a place in Qatar.

The US will play Mexico away on Friday, Panama at home on Monday, and Costa Rica away on Thursday.

Thiago Silva

While Brazil have qualified for the World Cup, Silva will return to action when they play Chile on Thursday and away to Bolivia next Wednesday.

Matteo Kovacic

The midfielder will be in action when Croatia play Slovenia on Saturday and Bulgaria on Tuesday.

Mason Mount

He would be joined by Conor Gallagher, who is on loan at Crystal Palace and they would be expected to start for England when they play Switzerland on Saturday and Ivory Coast on Tuesday.

N’Golo Kante

The Blues midfielder is expected to plate for France when they face Ivory Coast on Friday, and South Africa on Tuesday.

Antoni Rudiger, Kai Havertz and Timo Werner

They will be in action when Germany play Israel on Saturday, and away to the Netherlands in Amsterdam on Tuesday.

Cesar Azpilicueta and Marcos Alonso

The two defenders are expected to play for Spain in their home match against Albania on Saturday and at home to Iceland on Tuesday.
