Chelsea will on Tuesday night face Arsenal at Emirate Stadium in the EPL.

Like Arsenal, Chelsea are also in desperate need of the three points, as the game could be their first win since their interim manager Frank Lampard took over.

Ahead of the match, Lampard in a pre-match press conference revealed the Blues will be without their defender, Kalidou Koulibaly.

Koulibaly, who joined Chelsea from Italian Seria A side is the latest player to face the threat of seeing injury bring his 2022/2023 season to a premature close.

The defender picked up an unfortunate hamstring problem, which forced him out of a Champions League quarter-final clash with Real Madrid.

As it looks, Koulibaly seems to have joined team-mates Reece James and Mason Mount, who are also likely not to feature for Chelsea for the rest of the season.

Lampard told reporters on Monday: “Koulibaly is out for a while still. I think it will be a tight call for the end of the season.

“He’s working away [from the group]. I’ve been impressed with him as a professional, he’s doing his job very well, but unfortunately, the injury was a tough one.”
