Following their defeat to Leicester City in the FA Cup final, Chelsea defender, Antonio Rudiger has expressed his disappointment.

While Chelsea was tipped as a favourite to win the trophy they however lost to the Foxes in a 1-0 scoreline.

Leicester City won the FA Cup final following Youri Tielemans’ stunning long-range strike.

Chelsea could have had an equalizer from Ben Chilwell but his effort was ruled out by the VAR.

Reacting to the defeat, Rudiger stressed that it would have been better for the Blues to have exited the competition at the knockout stage.

He however went on to threaten that the Blues will bounce back in their next games.

In a post on his verified Facebook page, the German defender vowed that Chelsea would fight back in their next matches.

Rudiger wrote: “Losing a cup final feels more disappointing than being knocked out in an early round to be honest but this game won’t ruin the self confidence we’ve gained during the last months.

“Only one way: Chin up and fight back in our next crucial matches ahead #Hustle #AlwaysBelieve Chelsea Football Club.”

Chelsea will return to action in the Premier League on Tuesday when they will play Leicester City again.
