Chelsea and Man Utd monitoring this Barcelona star for possible transfer

With few days left to the end of the January transfer window, there are reports that the Blues are monitoring a possible transfer situation at Barcelona that could see them sign Ousmane Dembele.

According to Sport, the France international contract with Barcelona would run until 2022, which means the Catalans could be forced to sell him this summer if he doesn’t sign a new deal by then.

The Blues would, however, face competition from fellow EPL club, Man Utd who are equally interested in the French star.

According to the reports,  Man Utd and Chelsea are closely monitoring Dembele’s situation which is as a result of the improvement the 23-year-old has been showing lately.

Dembele is a talented player and his young age means he still has the chance of getting better.

The French star was a top-rated player during his days at Borussia Dortmund but struggled at Camp Nou but it is believed that he would shine at Old Trafford or Stamford Bridge.

However, for Chelsea hierarchy to consider the transfer request to sign Dembele or not, the Blues will have to get better in their performance this season and at least make it to the top four on the EPL table.
