Chelsea advised on new players to sign
Former Arsenal star Paul Merson has reacted to Chelsea’s decision to sign out many of their key players as he advised them on some new signings they need to make.
With the likes of Mason Mount, Mateo Kovacic, Kai Havertz, N’Golo Kante, Edouard Mendy, and Kalidou Koulibaly, already signed to new clubs ahead of next season, Merson believes the Blues need to make some replacements.
According to Merson, Chelsea need to sign a new goalkeeper, midfielders, and a new striker like Tottenham’s Harry Kane.

“Chelsea are crying out for a new goalkeeper,” Merson told Sky Sports.
“You need a goalkeeper who is going to win you points. Having one can half move you up the league quickly.
“Chelsea’s midfield is crying out for reinforcements too. Everyone has gone. They have got Enzo Fernandez and Conor Gallagher at the club; there is talk of Moises Caicedo coming in, but that is all they’ve got—potentially three midfield players—that is it.
“As we sit here today, if Mauricio Pochettino gets Chelsea into the top four having only signed Caicedo, you would say he pulled up trees.”
