Former Borussia Dortmund star Michael Rummenigge has backed Liverpool to complete the signing of Erling Haaland next summer.

Haaland is currently one of Europe’s best strikers as the Norway international has been finding the back of the net for fun.

Top clubs across Europe have been monitoring his situation, and they were all eager to sign him during the summer.

The likes of Chelsea, Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain were linked with Haaland in the summer, but Dortmund stood firm in their decision of not selling him.

With Haaland set to become a target for top clubs next summer, Dortmund legend Michael Rummenigge has tipped Liverpool as his next destination.

Rummenigge, while speaking with Sport1 were posted by Goal.com, stated that everyone has to wait and see where he goes after this season.

According to Rummenigge, Real and Barca have financial problems, so he could imagine Haaland moving to England because his father used to play there.

Rummenigge noted that he could well imagine Liverpool for Haaland because he is an exceptional phenomenon. Players like that only come along every 30 or 40 years.

Rummenigge added that he does not know what Haaland career plans are, but for Dortmund, it’s great that he’s still wearing the black and yellow jersey this season.
