Bundesliga side reportedly in signing German forward from Chelsea this summer

Germany international Timo Werner has been linked with a move away from Chelsea this summer and Bayern Munich are reportedly interested in him.

Timo Werner arrived in Chelsea last season after the blues beat off competition from the likes of Liverpool to secure his service.

However, Timo Werner was not able to replicate his best form in his first season at Chelsea, scoring only six goals in the Premier League.

Timo Werner also made 52 appearances in all competitions, providing 12 goals and 15 assists in the process.

This statistics has seen Chelsea linked with Robert Lewandowski and Erling Haaland as they want a clinical goal scorer leading the line.

Thought the London club are yet to struck a deal with Bayern Munich or Borussia Dortmund over their striker, Bayern are willing to sign Werner.

According to Football Insider, the Bundesliga Champion have set their sights on the Germany international.

Bayern are looking look to sign Werner as a cover and competition for Lewandowski amid the uncertainty surrounding his future.

Werner still has four years left to run on his contract with Chelsea and has played under new Bayern manager Julian Nagelsmann at RB Leipzig.
