Borussia Dortmund striker hands transfer boost to Chelsea
Borussia Dortmund striker and Norway international, Erling Haaland has handed transfer boost to Uefa Champions League winners, Chelsea ahead of the summer transfer window.
Recall that Haaland has been linked with moves from the German Bundesliga this summer with the likes of Chelsea, Man Utd, Man City among others lining up to sign him.
However, according to The Telegraph, the 20-year-old striker has revealed he is ‘interested in a switch to Chelsea and is ‘attracted by the prospect’ of joining Thomas Tuchel’s side.
The report added that the Blues are fully aware of the difficulty of signing Haaland this summer transfer window and are considering the option of securing an agreement that would see the youngster delay his Dortmund exit until next year.
While Dortmund values the Norway star over £150 million, the Blues are hoping to beat down the price by keeping him in Germany till next season when he would reportedly be available for £68.9m next summer due to a release clause in his contract.
Haaland finished as the highest goalscorer in the UCL last season scoring 10 goals for Dortmund.
The German club have stressed that the Norwegian will not be allowed to leave this summer.
