Barcelona’s Balde names Chelsea star as one of his toughest opponents

Barcelona defender, Alejandro Balde, in a recent statement spoke about the toughest players he has ever played against in football.

Balde included Chelsea star Noni Madueke as one of the toughest opponents he has faced in his career so far..

According to the 21-year-old left-back, the England international is a ‘good player’.

Recall that Balde Barca played against  Madueke in his youth football days.

Balde told ESPN when asked to reveal his toughest opponents that another time could be when he was in youth football against Madueke, who’s at Chelsea now,

“He’s a good player, I think he was at PSV then, it was another good game,” Balde said.

Meanwhile, this season, Madueke has turned out to be one of the players who been impressive for Chelsea under manager Enzo Maresca so far this term.

He has also gotten more game time under Maresca as the Blues intend to return to Champions League football next year.

Chelsea are seated in the top six on the league table and are playing in the Conference League this season as well as other English domestic league.

Hopefully, he would return to action when the Blues take on Man Utd at Old Trafford this weekend.
