Spanish Giant Barcelona have been linked with a move for out of favour Chelsea centre-back Antonio Rudiger as they hope he solve their defensive crisis.

Rudiger has been unable to get playing time at Stamford Bridge this season with the arrival of Thiago Silva from Paris Saint-Germain PSG and the good form of Kurt Zouma playing a huge impact with his time on the bench.

He could now be offered a way out of the club as Ronald Koeman is desperate to strengthen his squad after an underwhelming start to the season.

Barcelona currently lie fifth in the La Liga, eight points behind leaders Atletico Madrid having played a game more and their defensive have not impressive.

With Barcelona struggling financially due to the effect of Covid-19, they are willing to take Antonio Rudiger who will be available for a small fee due to his current situation at Chelsea.

Rudiger in the past few weeks has insisted that he’s ready to fight for a place in the team but he might be tempted to rethink his decision when Barcelona come calling.

We will have to wait till when the January transfer window commence to know if these moves will see the light of the day.
