Ballon d’Or: What Messi told Mbappe, Haaland after winning 8th award

Inter Miami football star, Lionel Messi following his 8th Ballon d’Or win has issued a message to Erling Haaland and Kylian Mbappe, other young footballers.

Messi in his statement stated that Haaland and Mbappe would win the prestigious football award in future.

The Argentine footballer made this known while receiving his award for a record-extending eighth time in Paris.

Messi finished in pole position ahead of Haaland and Mbappe in second and third respectively.

“Haaland and Mbappé will win the Ballon d’Or one day.

“Erling deserved it very much too, he has won Premier League, Champions League while being the top scorer of everything.

“This award could have been yours today too. I’m sure in the next years you will win it,” Messi said.

With his latest win, Messi may have ended the debate on who is the greatest of all time between himself and Cristiano Ronaldo.
