Arteta speaks about former Chelsea striker’s confidence at Arsenal

Managed Mikel Arteta has expressed delight on his side impressive performance against Southampton in the Premier League.

Recall that the Gunners won the match in a 3-1 scoreline after Southampton had shocking taken the lead at Emirates Stadium with a goal from Cameron Archer in the second half.

However, the Gunners scored an equaliser minutes after thanks to an effort from Kai Havertz, who fired the ball after a pass from Bukayo Saka.

In a post-match statement, Arteta singled out Havertz for praise.

When asked about Havertz’s impressive feat in his post-match press conference, Arteta said that he noticed a “change” in the reserved Havertz that moved to Arsenal to the confident, prolific striker leading the club’s attack.

According to Arteta, when the German star is practising, he wants more and he’s not satisfied with what he’s doing because there is still another level from him.

Arteta stressed that Havetz is surrounded by incredible players but something has changed in him and that confidence, is what he’s putting into games and winning football matches which is great.
