Arteta names former Chelsea star who is now a threat to opponents
Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has named Kai Havertz as a threat to their opponents in the Premier League.
Arteta said this in a pre-match statement ahead of Arsenal’s Premier League tie with Manchester City on Sunday evening.
Ahead of the big game, Arteta, who spoke to Sky Sports, believes Havertz will play a crucial role against Pep Guardiola’s side.
“He [Havertz] is a constant threat. He can threaten you from behind; he can come to good spaces and provoke a lot of issues positionally for the opponent,” the Spaniard said.
“And yeah, he has become a real threat in the opponent’s box as well because now he is scoring goals.”
Recall that Havertz moved to Arsenal from Chelsea last year.
After a slow start at Emirates Stadium, the Germany international has since become a key player in the Gunners squad under Arteta.
