Arsenal are reportedly intensifying their efforts to secure the signature of Nico Williams from La Liga side Athletic Bilbao, a target also eyed by Chelsea and Manchester United.

After narrowly missing out on the Premier League title to Manchester City on the final day, Arsenal is expected to be active in the transfer market this summer, aiming to clinch the top spot next season.

Arsenal’s Interest in Williams

Sporting director Edu is reportedly focusing on acquiring a new striker and center midfielder, with Martin Zubimendi and Viktor Gyokeres among the potential targets.

Additionally, Arsenal is looking to strengthen their wing options to support Bukayo Saka, Gabriel Martinelli, and Leandro Trossard.

Nico Williams, a 21-year-old standout from Athletic Bilbao, has been linked with Arsenal in recent months.

Williams enjoyed a stellar season, scoring eight goals and providing 17 assists in 37 appearances across all competitions.

While primarily a left winger, he is equally adept on the right, a position where Arsenal has had to rely heavily on Saka due to a lack of depth.

Arsenal’s Determined Pursuit

According to reports from Spain, Arsenal is ‘going all out’ to secure Williams’ transfer this summer. This move is part of a broader strategy by the Gunners to enhance their squad depth and compete more effectively in the upcoming season.
