West Ham United star, Gianluca Scamacca in a statement has applauded Arsenal’s incoming star Declan Rice, who he compared to Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard.

Any moment from now, the Gunners are expected to unveil Rice as their latest signing after they agreed on a deal worth £100 million and £5 million in add-ons for the midfielder with West Ham.

Scamacca in a statement described the £100 million and £5 million too low for a player of Rice’s calibre, adding that the England international should cost more as he is the best player he has played with.

He further said the English midfielder reminds him of Liverpool Gerrard.

Scamacca told Nima Tavallaey Roodsari:

“£120m price tag? If anything, it’s too low! He’s a great player. He reminds me of Gerrard. He’s the best midfielder I’ve ever played with.”

Meanwhile, Rice is said to have passed his medical with the Gunners, however, he is yet to be unveiled by the North London club as their player.
