Arsenal could hijack Napoli star from Chelsea

This summer transfer window is about to get interesting as new reports are suggesting that Arsenal could soon beat Chelsea in the race for Napoli star Victor Osimhen.

According to the reports, Arsenal have commenced talks for Osimhen’s move to the Emirates Stadium this summer in what could be a sensational move.

It is well known that Osimhen is a top target for several top clubs in Europe including Chelsea.

However, recent reports revealed Arsenal are now one of the main suitors for the Nigerian.

It is said that the Gunners manager Mikel Arteta wants to bring in support for Kai Havertz and Gabriel Jesus up front ahead of next season.

This comes after the Gunners dropped their interest for Slovenian superstar Benjamin Sesko, following the forward signing a new deal with RB Leipzig, according to The Atlethic.

Italian journalist Ciro Venerato via Area Napoli claimed that the North Londoners are looking to get Napoli star Osimhen at a reduced price.

Recall that a few days ago, II Roma reported that Osimhen’s agent has commenced talks with the north Londoners.

It would be a blow for Chelsea if Arsenal are able to secure a deal for Osimhen this summer transfer window.
